November 20th 2003, Granville Airton - Granville's been playing around British Columbia for longer than he cares to remember but only in the last ten years ago has his playing been mainly folk music. He loves songs with humour in them and loves the audience to sing along (he gets quite upset if they don't and marks them on the quality of their singing). Granville's repertoire includes songs by Eric Bogle, Stan Rogers, Bob Bossin, Gordon Lightfoot and many others along with a number of traditional pieces written by that famous composer Anon. and despite a proclivity towards folk, in the last year has added a few swing songs to the list. His song list also includes a few Acapulco (a capella for the persnickety) numbers, a bit of spoken word (largely Monty Python and take offs) and he looks forward to bending your ear when the opportunity presents itself
January 15th 2004 - MaddRegaeles Muse - SFG welcomes MaddRegaeles Muse back to the Guild. This multilingual, multi-talented group performs 'popular' chansons, madrigals, early folk, ars nova and other ditties from Medieval times to the present, as well as Celtic folk and original music. Featured are two sopranos, alto, tenor and bass voices, accompanied by guitar, mandolin, bodhran and recorder. You will not be disappointed!
