On December 2nd, Jennifer Menendez, the daycare supervisor at Paddington Station Preschool and Daycare at The Arts Connection, was killed in a tragic motor vehicle accident on her way to work. TURNING POINT WELLNESS CENTRE

Would like to announce the arrival of a new therapist to our team, Marcia Roland. Marcia will be starting in January and we are looking forward to working with her, she will be working Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Turning Point Wellness Centre is open 6 days a week and offers a variety of services, which include: Massage therapy, Acupuncture, and Consegrity. All our therapists are registered and our treatments can be claimed on most extended health plans.

Turning Point Wellness Centre expanded last May to include Raise the Bar Rehab and Fitness Centre, which is located right next door. Raise the Bar offers a variety of classes from Iyengar yoga, Pilates, core strengthening, to interval training. The Centre also offers seminars throughout the year on a variety of topics. The Main goal of Raise the Bar is to offer personal attention in classes by keeping class size small, the maximum in any class ranges from as low as 4 to as high as 10.

STEVESTON VILLAGE GALLERY

Dear Art Lovers, Colleagues and Friends,

Thanks to all who came to our reception on December 1st – what a great way to celebrate the artists, David McHolm, Donna Swain and Sonja Picard. This show is running ‘til December 24th so come take a look as there are still a few beautiful pieces available and no gst is being charged on any painting in the gallery!

Imagine sitting at home on your computer and being able to view paintings and sculptures online and then with a simple email or phone call having a knowledgeable art representative bring the pieces you’re interested in directly to your home so you can see them in your space before you make up your mind to buy!

This is just what you will be able to do in February 2006 with our new website launch. We have been coming to your homes and businesses for the last 2 years after seeing you in our gallery so the only difference will be that you won’t have to come in to the gallery first! All you will need is your computer to see the complete scope of artwork available.

Imagine having an artist create a painting just for you! Is it a dream? Commissioning an artist to create a painting for you is an option that many people choose to take when they love the work of an artist but would like a piece larger/smaller, or with a certain subject matter. The cost is usually only slightly higher than buying a painting that’s already created and the reason for that is the time the artist will spend with you. Commissioning a painting is not just for kings and queens!

I want to thank all of you who have been pouring into the gallery to wish me well with my new venture and express sadness at the closing of the physical gallery.
