GULF OF GEORGIA CANNERY NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE - May 5: Join us for the Cannery's official exhibit opening for the 2007 summer season.

April 14 - Pub Night Fundraiser for the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society Join us on Saturday, April 14 for our annual Pub Night Fundraiser, from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Buck & Ear. Tickets are just $10 and you'll get a tasty burger, chips and frosty glass of beer. There will be a 50/50 draw and silent auction to help raise money for our continued operation of the Cannery. Come check out the newly expanded CANNERY STORE just inside the front doors of the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. We're opening April
4 and our Spring hours are:

WESTWIND PARK - Ready... Set... 200 metres to Go!!!

Steveston is getting ready for the building of a 450 metre 2 lane circuit asphalt walking & running track to be built at Westwind Park this summer for residents to participate in an active and healthy lifestyle. The City, Westwind school community and residents of the area have raised enough funds to build 250 metres of the track- we need more funds to complete the last 200 metres.

To raise awareness of the track and to celebrate active living in our community, we will be holding a Spring Fair & Relay on June 2, 2007 at Westwind Elementary School (11371 Kingfisher Drive).

Stroller Strides classes consist of a Power Walk and body toning exercises using your stroller and your baby. In 60 minutes, you will get a total body workout improving your cardiovascular endurance, your strength and your flexibility. Whether you're a beginner or an expert exerciser, Stroller Strides can provide you with your ideal workout. It's up to you to create the intensity, but we will create the fun!

Stroller Strides is a unique workout that you can do with your baby! Make new friends, get in shape and watch your baby love every moment of it! Baby will love the interaction and the action of Stroller Strides! It's a total workout combining cardio, strength and flexibility using your stroller, your baby and the environment. We turn the outdoors into a total gym!

The Steveston Museum Society would like to remind all Businesses and residents about the services they offer. Buy your stamps through the Steveston Post Office that the Post Office is run by the Society and all proceeds are used to operate the Museum. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSEUM.

BUGGY BABIES FITNESS

We are a 'fitness for mom baby group' that offers stroller fitness, bootcamps for moms, kids yoga, prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga etc. all based in Ladner. You can check out my website at www.buggybabiesfitness.ca for more info.

Also, Buggy Babies is hosting a Baby Fair in Ladner on April 14th from 10-3pm and we will be showcasing products and services from local moms in our community. Bobs and Lolo will be entertaining and we will have face painting, lemonade stand, baby photo contest etc. This is our 2nd one, the first was a huge success!

HOSPITAL AUX. THRIFT SHOP

Located at 3920 Moncton St., raises money for the hospital – for the purchase of much needed equipment and to pay for the continuing support of the recreational needs of the residents of the Minoru Residence and Lions Manor. The Thrift Shop is run ENTIRELY BY VOLUNTEERS.

Each day new and interesting items come into the store, thanks to the generous donations from the people of Richmond. One never knows what treasures await our customers.
